D6930, 6960 Inbounds Visit Kennedy Space Center

Inbound exchange students from opposite coasts got together on Sunday, September 28 2009, for a visit to the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Suntree, the four inbounds from local District 6930 and five from the gulf coast District 6960 enjoyed a tour of the space center facility and the hospitality of area Rotarians.

Suntree Rotary President Pat Shankle pointed out that that group had the opportunity to get "an up close and personal look of the United States Space program, including the historic event of seeing, not one but two space shuttles on the launch pad during their visit."

Needless to say, the students enjoyed the opportunity to get together again and spend a little time with their fellow inbounds. The next such opportunity for most will be at Disney World in September.
