D6970 Inbounds Invade St. Augustine
It was a beautiful fall weekend in northeast Florida, and the
28 inbound exchange students hosted by District 6970 enjoyed it to the fullest,
thanks to the Rotary clubs of St. Augustine, sponsors of the event. Students
stayed in Rotarians' homes in the area, visited the Fountain of Youth, took a
train tour of the Oldest City, explored the Castillo de San Marcos, browsed and
shopped on St. George Street, relaxed on the beach at Anastasia Island, spent a
morning at the Alligator Farm, and finished with a sailing cruise of Matanzas
Bay.
Of course, just having time with their fellow exchange
students was one of the best parts of the weekend, as they would all attest.
