Christopher's Bio

Hi my name is........Christopher, and I'm from Ecuador, the banana country. My parents are owners of a bookstore and also my dad is a teacher. I have three brothers and no sisters, all my brothers are older than me.

I like listen to music (a lot) and I used to do sea kayak. I decide to be an exchange student because it is a great experience and is also a chance to learn about other cultures.

August 31 Journal

Hi everybody!!

This is my first month here in the USA and I'm having a great time. As more time passes, the more exciting things are, and I'm beginning to understand more about the American culture, learning new things, go to new places, meet new people - is great. I can't believe that a month passed so quickly.

Well, that's all. I will write the next month.

See ya

October 25 Journal

Hi everyone

I have been here 3 months already and what is my opinion of USA? Well, it's not good or bad it's just different. Well about my activities I'm starting to practice golf. It's an interesting sport and pretty hard too.

School here it's different - it's very very boring!! It's like you can't say anything, it's always silence. I don't know how Americans don't sleep in class more often!!! There should be more interactive stuff!!

Gainesville is a small city, not much to do, so I'm creating my resources. The last weekend was very fun. I enjoyed a lot. I cant wait for Disney World trip! Well that's all. Bye.

December 10 Journal

Hi everyone. It has been a long time.

Well anyway let me start saying that Disney was so cool!!! I think everyone miss it. Besides that I've been into some Gator "football" games that are pretty nice. Sometimes I think American football is too long, like 5 hours sitting, a great pain. After that the thing that I really like is that you are not scared that someone throws something at you from behind like happens sometimes in my country.

Also I experienced how the people are so crazy to do shopping the day after Thanksgiving. People get up so early!! Like 4:50 AM to go shopping because some stores opened at 5:00 or some more early. When I was in the shopping area there was a lot of people and traffic was terrible.

What more can I say - the weather is getting colder and it's almost Christmas time. So happy holidays and happy new year to everyone.
