Edgar's Bio

Hiii every body......... My name is Edgar Dias Jr "ED".

I was born in Sao Paulo on July 25th, 88. I'm 18 years old, I finished school in Brazil. I lived with my dad and my sister and weekends with my mom. My father is an engineer and my mother is a lawyer, my sister is a student - she is 15 years old.

We have a beach house, it's a very cool house - we love to go to the house and make great barbecues on weekends. Sao Paulo is the biggest city in Brazil and most populated. I like to play sports, I practice soccer, and I love to travel.

October 11 Journal & Pictures

Hello every body!!!!!!!! I’m here in the USA for 2 months and some days. In this time I had time and opportunity to do wonderful and exciting stuff. I went to a lot of American football games and baseball games. I went to Orlando in Universal Studios. But the most important moments are the ones I pass with my host family. They are very nice people and help me a lot, and for sure I will never forget what they do for me.

We had one Brazilian night in our house, Jon (my host dad) he made Brazilian food, Louise (my host mother) she organized everything, was amazing and a very good night, I never will forget this party - it was so important to me.

In school I had some bad moments in the beginning because my English was not so good, and the people don’t understand me and I don’t understand the people. Some days I had to sit alone in lunchtime. But now everything is much better, my English is a little bit better, and I’m starting to make real friends.

January 15 Journal

Hey everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m here in USA for 5 months and some days.  This is my second journal  ... sorry about that. My life changed so much after my first journal, it's unbelievable how everyone changes so fast doing an exchange program. I was not able to talk with other persons who I didn’t know, I was completely shy, but now I’m better.

I went to New York - was fantastic really cold. I went to watch an NBA game, Empire State Building, Central Park, Chinatown, it was perfect, and a lot other places in NY. In my school everything is much better. I’m talking more, some friends, varsity soccer time. Last Friday we had a senior night and I’m not a senior but my coach considers myself like a senior so me and my host parents could walk in the field like the other seniors players and they give flowers to my host mother - was really cool. I’m taking different classes in school, I will change host family next month, and finally my actual host family will have a weekend to just relax, because all our weekends since I’m here were completely busy.

Everybody said, “Christmas will be the hardest moment in all exchange program.” Mine was not hard; mine was really cool, we had so much fun. In general my break was cool, our new year parade and new year party was perfect. I had so much fun.

OK I hope everybody will have a wonderful year and I hope to see you soon…
