Judith's Bio

Hallo! I am Judith Froese from Melle, a small city in the countryside of Lower Saxony, Germany. I just turned 16 here, in Florida. I was born in Dortmund where I grew up the first 10 years of my life. It was a difficult time for me to move from a big city into a small one. But now I love it there.

In my free time I tutor some kids in math and lead with a friend of mine a group of 5-7 years old children in church. On my weekends I spend time with my friends. We go to soccer games or visit big cities in the north of Germany or just hang out. Here I live in Oviedo and attend Hagerty High School (Go Huskies) which is a great experience.

I am still excited to be an exchange student. Thank you Rotary, to let my dream become true.

December 30 Journal

Hallo Leute! I am Judith from Germany and I just realized that I didn't write a journal at all! Sorry!

My exchange year started on August the 5th and it has been great so far! In my first month I got to get to New York which was amazing! I always dreamed of going there and finally my dream become true!!!!!

I got to change my host family once and I have to say that it is a weird feeling but once when you get used to that family you realize that you have now 2 new families where you can ever go back to!! I really like the thought of having another family where you can always go to and visit!

I am going to high school “GO HUSKIES” and in my first month there, I had a school lockdown which was pretty scary! Because my teacher was freaking out and made us sit in the corner! Now when I am thinking of that day it was pretty hilarious! I would say it’s an American experience!!!!

I am living here in Oviedo which is pretty close to Orlando and all the Disney Parks which make my whole stay here in Florida even more exciting! We also went with Rotary and all the other exchange students which are in Florida! It was the best time I ever had in Disney! And now I am really looking forward to see them all again at Sea Camp when we go down to the Keys!!!!
