I am 17 years old and I come from Cremona, a small city near Milan, in the
north of Italy. I have two twin brothers and I am very close with my family.
My brother, Gio is going to live in Australia next year for university so we
will have a lot to share with each other this year and later. My other
brother, Dado, is studying in Rome, so the only child left in my house in
Cremona is an exchange student from Miami, Florida. At home I like to play
tennis and hang out with friends.
I love my city and my country, but I really wanted to become an exchange
student for many reasons: I want to learn English better and I want to live
in another culture; I also have friends who have been RYE students and had
beautiful experiences here in the US. I have also hosted an American
exchange student at home in Italy and I have met many others who have become
good friends. I have many friends in Cremona, but I am looking forward to
meeting new people in Florida and making my own adventures J The world
becomes a much smaller place when you are an Exchange student. For example,
I have already met a Rotex (who didn’t even go to Italy for Exchange) and
she knows my brother and friends in Italy! I know it will be difficult at
times, but I am now ready to face the challenges and become more Floridian.
I want to say thank you to my parents and to Rotary for living me this
opportunity! |
