Hello, my name is Carolina, but I like to be called by Carol. I am 16 years
old and I have been living in Brazil my whole life, with my parents and my
two sisters. In 2009 my older sister, Gabriela, went to Australia on the
same program and since that I am dreaming in be an exchange student like
her. So the opportunity to come to United States to a fantastic trip to
study abroad happened, and now for my junior year I am living in Lecanto,
Florida. I always loved to travel, know new places and learn about them, so
I am very excited to this new experience that I am having here, to learn all
about everything about the America and Americans.
My father is a Rotarian so he introduce for my sister and I the Rotary
Youth Exchange and we really love the idea and the purpose. In the beginning
I didn't know where I would go, but now I just have to be glad for been here
in United States! I would like to thank the Rotary International, my sponsor
club of Sao Joao da Boa Vista (district 4590) and my family a thousand times
for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I’m so thankful of this incredible
chance of a lifetime and I already know this year will be the best of my
life so far. Thank you so much!!
