My
name is Victoria.
I come from Liege, Belgium.
My mother is Philippine and my father Belgian. I have an older brother
called Richard and a cute dog named Will.
When I have free time, I really enjoy going to the gym because I’m an
athletic person. Thus I can work out, go to collective lessons like dance or
spinning and see some friends. After I can relax in the spa. Then, I like to
play tennis and love to go running for some miles. Also, I like to go out
with my friends. We usually go to the city center, to the restaurant or to
the cinema.
I wanted to be an exchange student for so many reasons! First of all, I
have always loved traveling and discovering foreign countries and their
cultures, meet people having different mentalities, see outstanding
landscapes... In high school, I had participated to an exchange program
with a school in London. This experience was amazing and I just wanted to do
it again but for a long term. I knew a lot of people who had that "exchange
student" experience and encouraged me to do so. I found their stories so
fascinating that I thought "It's now my turn to do so". My family and I had
hosted an exchange students from the USA. Thus, I had the opportunity to
know what being an exchange student was. I am an open minded person,
optimistic and always ready for new challenge. This year was just made for
me!
During my exchange, I would like to be involved in family and school’s
social life. I hope to meet people and make new friends. I am wishing to
discover a different school system, to participate to school activities and
to be involve in sport or events club. More than that, I wish to take new
lessons for preparing my university studies.
I would like to travel inside another country in order to visit various
landscape and learn the culture, traditions of non Europeans. As I will be
far from home, I want to acquire independence and autonomy. I will mature by
learning to adapt to unusual situations and this will help preparing my
future plans.
Thanks a lot to the International Rotary for letting me live what has
started to be the best year of my life!
