Victoria's Bio

My name is Victoria and I’m a seventeen year old girl from Sweden. Do you all know where Sweden is located? It is in northern Europe, and yes we get lots of snow, we can have snow on the ground for five- six months per year. Quite different if you compare to Florida’s weather! In Florida I live in Orlando, “the city Beautiful” and it really is beautiful! And so different from my hometown, Nyköping, which is a small town - when I came to Orlando I realized how small my hometown actually is, but I still love it so much - and close to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.

If I would describe myself with three words I would say I am friendly, happy and curious. What I mean with curious is that I want to experience different cultures and see other parts of the world than Sweden, I want to know how the rest of the world works! I have lived in Sweden for my whole life but I have always had the feeling inside me that I want to discover and explore something else for a while, so an exchange year was the ideal choice for me.

In Sweden I live with my mom, dad and my younger brother. My interests are many, but some of them are hanging out with friends, playing the guitar and the bass guitar, singing (when no one can hear me, haha), shopping, reading, watching movies, badminton and just going out for long walks with my favorite music in my ears! And I love to laugh, haha!

Thank you my parents, my sponsor club Rotary Club of Nyköping and my host club, Rotary Club of College Park, for giving me this opportunity.
