Jenna's Bio

Hello my name is Jenna, or as I soon will be saying Hej mit navn er Jenna!, as I am outbound to Denmark! I am 15 years old but I will be 16 during my exchange, I attend a small school in lake county called Tavares High School. As I started my years in elementary school, I soon began to find what I love dearly. Baton. I have been twirling since I was in first grade (10 years) it is something that has always been a major part of my life. I now twirl with our high school band, every Friday night and parades! On top of twirling with the high school I also twirl with the Superstars Twirling Acadmey. We compete at many different competitions, local, regional, state, national, and international. I also have the privilege of participating in Disneys Twirlmaina, this is a event that is held at Disneys Wide World of Sports complex and also Disneys Magic Kingdom. This is held every year and the competition I look the most forward to. For me, I believe I have a large family, when I say family I mean all of our animals included. I live with my mother Laurie, father Gary, and 11 year old brother Garrett. As for the rest of my family, I have a chocolate lab, Mighty Scout Master,Or as we just call him Scout, a cat, Sweetie, who dislikes everyone, a hamster Cinnamon, and 4 cows, Polly, Bow, Ruby, and Lilly. I live outside city limits and most people would call it country, but I call it home. I live on 12 acres land and have bonfires hayrides and many good times on the go-carts. Since I live out in the "country" we have gofer turtles, some can be as big as my cat, others smaller then the palm of your hand. Another pet that loves to live in our house and look at themselves are red cardinals. They like to go up to any window or mirror on cars, look at themselves, and then run into it. They can amuse themselves for hours. They also enjoy getting stuck in our garage. When you are little everyone has to have some idea of what they want to be when they grow up, for me it was a princess, now I soon came to the realization that this would never be, so I decided on a more logical work era, Virology. Virology is the study of virus and their cures, this is something that I took an interest in middle school, and now I love the look up different things that I do not know! I want to work with finding cures for cancers and diseases. I am so excited to be a outbound to Denmark next year, I would like to thank everyone in Rotary for this amazing opportunity!
