Wow, hello! Time is flying by, it seems like just yesterday I was filling out all the papers for my application, and now here I am writing my bio! My name is Julianna and I am 18 years old. I live in Miramar, Florida. It is like 30 minutes away from Miami Beach. Florida, especially south Florida is very hot, the total opposite of the weather in the Czech Republic which is where I’m going! I have a wonderful family that I love very much, and great friends that I’m very thankful for. I am a junior at everglades high school (I’m actually the first outbound student ever from everglades) and I can't wait to do my senior year abroad.
Anyways, like I said... in just a couple months I will be leaving to the Czech Republic and I am very excited! I have never been to Europe but from what I can see in Google, Czech Republic it's a beautiful country. My whole life I’ve lived in Miami, its all beach and buildings, oh and we have the everglades, but who goes there… ha-ha, just kidding everyone does but I don’t like gators so I’ve never been there. But Czech Republic looks like it’s the opposite... It’s full of castles and old buildings with a lot of history behind it. I know my year abroad will be one of the best years of my life and I can’t wait to get started. I’m already practicing my Czech (very hard language by the way.) I am very thankful to Rotary for giving me this amazing opportunity. CZECHS HERE I COME! (: |
