Hallo! I am Perry I am 17 and I am a current junior at West Broward High School, and I will be doing my senior year in Germany! Most all of my friends have called me crazy because I am giving up my senior year to be in a place that I know absolutely nothing of, but honestly, that is what excites me the most.
I am really fun loving, outgoing, and love doing and trying new things. I am a really loud person. I love soccer (fussball), cooking or culinary arts, and photography. I am always out and about doing things, I am never bored.
My parents are very supportive of me. This is something I have always wanted to do and they have provided for me to be able to have such an incredible opportunity to experience a year of a lifetime. Rotary Youth Exchange with help prepare me for the future I have planed out for myself. I plan to go to college and study many languages and foreign affairs to eventually become The Secretary of State for the United States. This is something I am very passionate about and really thrive to achieve some day.
I am so happy I have been assigned Germany because I am part German, so it will be a very exciting time to find out about my family history. I am a history fanatic and so I will be relishing in all the fantastic sights to see and historical venues. I am so very thrilled to be part of Rotary Youth Exchange 2012-2013! I am so excited to see what this year has in store for me. I really want to extend a warm thank you to my rotary club for sponsoring me, I am so excited to make you all proud.
